Feral Pigeon

Is this really a separate species? The RSPB lists them as a Rock Dove, but they seem to sit somewhere between the larger Wood Pigeon, and the prim and proper Collared Dove. Flying rats, but the diversity of colours can be interesting - thought to have descended from freed racing pigeons... Very obviously green status, and there's more information on the RSPB site.
